Weight loss Management

We administer semaglutide shots for weight loss.  But we are also going to discuss your diet, your exercise routine, your medical history, and your labs, hormone levels, and glucose control.  

It starts with a consultation to learn about you, your goals, and your expectations.  This is when we get to tell you more about semaglutide and our process.  

Every patient is different.  We can't make any promises, but research shows that using semaglutide along with diet and lifestyle changes can help certain individuals lose more weight than lifestyle and diet changes alone.  Semaglutide is not a magic pill; rather, it is a tool to help you in the process of losing weight and changing your lifestyle.

You can start receiving semaglutide at your first visit.  However, it can take up to 6 weeks for patients to reach a therapeutic dose in their system.  Some patients begin to see weight loss in the first week; some take a little longer.  We ask that you commit to 3 months with us, be patient and trust the process.  We will be working with you and doing our best to address all the factors that might be part of your weight loss journey.  

Your initial consultation costs $165.  Each weekly injection costs $40-$80 depending on the dose.  We will schedule you to meet with Dr. Dalton for another consultation once every 4 weeks to review your progress and discuss any concerns or other issues needing to be addressed in your weight loss progress.  These appointments cost $165 as well.  

We believe in addressing the whole patient.  This often means looking at hormone levels to see if they could be affecting your weight loss difficulties.  Patients who have received testosterone therapy may not see significant weight loss, but will see their bodies change as they go through a process of muscle remodeling for the first 6 to 9 months.  We remind all our patients that they and their health are not defined by a number on a scale.
